  • Abstract
    This paper presents a comprehensive survey on the fault location in Multi-terminal DC (MTDC) system: The paper firstly reviews the progress of some key technologies in MTDC, including converters, control strategies and topologies. The key issues in fault location are addressed. This is then followed by a critical examination of two categories of recently proposed fault location methods: impedance-based methods and travelling-wave methods.
