Abstract
The currently used IPv4 and IPv6 communication technology uses a single endpoint interface in a given communication session, even in the case when the device have many interfaces. In this paper we introduce a software library (named as MPT), which opens the possibility to use multiple interfaces (and multiple paths) in one communication session. There is no need for modification in the application´s software: The application uses a single logical interface for the communication and the MPT software maps dynamically the packets (sent by the application) to the available physical interfaces. At the end of the paper some measurement results will be shown, which compares the working performance of the single-thread and the multithread software based implementations of the MPT library.
