Abstract
With the advancement of IT technology, the use of digital signage has drastically expanded in application. And recently, interactive devices are exhibited in many museums and towns in order to attract more customers. These facts mean we can provide information more efficiently by using interactive contents for digital signage. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed a floor display system using TV camera. This system projects interactive contents on floor. When it is equipped on shopping street and provides location information of shops there, it can lead people to their destinations as a guide. To provide appropriate information and show contents toward a pedestrian, the system needed to detect pedestrians´ travelling directions. In our previous study, we proposed the method which could detect two directions. Expanding this method, we present the method which is able to detect eight directions in this paper.
