Abstract
Internet is taking vital role in our communications system it can be infrastructure oriented or infrastructure less; the slow convergence of routing protocols after a network failure results in growth in problem. To ensure fast recovery from both i. e. link and node failures in wireless networks, we present a new recovery scheme called Enhanced Multiple Routing Configurations (EMRC). EMRC is based on keeping additional routing information in the routers and allows packet forwarding to continue on an alternative output link as ultimately after occurring the failure. It can be enhancely implemented with only slight changes to existing solutions for IP recovery in wireless network. In this paper we present EMRC, and analyze its performance with respect to scalability, backup path lengths, and load distribution after a failure and at end compare it with already established algorithm.
