  • Abstract
    In nature, predators and preys often form groups to perform chase and escape. We mathematically describe such a group chase and escape phenomenon by a cellular automaton. In this paper, by using numerical simulations of a cellular automaton with honeycomb grid, we discuss a method of group chase and escape. In particular, we compare several methods with the randomness of behaviour of the chasers. Then, we discuss the effectiveness of the randomness.
