Research on semiconductor lighting engineering situation and development trend

Semiconductor lighting has the advantages of energy saving, environmental protection, long service life, small size, etc, thus it can be used in all kinds of color and white lighting area. Developing the industry of semiconductor lighting will bring a significant impact on national economy and politics. It will hold back the energy crisis, control and reduce the environmental pollution, and be beneficial to the sustainable development of the national economy. In this paper, the character of semiconductor lighting is introduced; then the present status and industrialization application of semiconductor lighting home and abroad are reviewed; meanwhile, some technology problems that semiconductor lighting industry faces are analyzed.
