  • Abstract
The vast majority of current research assumes that epidemics spread as a reaction process from nodes to all neighbours while epidemic spreading in the situation that epidemic pathways are defined and driven by different traffic flows is proposed in this paper. Traffic driven epidemic spreading in SI model and SIS model are investigated by incorporating three routing strategies. The shortest path routing strategy is proven to be more effective to restrain the spreading of epidemic in both models. Simulation results have confirmed the theoretical predictions.
