Abstract
Abstract form only given. The Multi-band Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing system based on Ultra Wide Band (MB-OFDM UWB) support very high data-rate transmission, it is attractive radio technique that coexists with other narrowband signals and has interesting properties. However, Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) resulting from Doppler shift phenomenon degrades MB-OFDM UWB system performance. In this paper, the Doppler Effect in the MBOFDM UWB system is studied and analyzed over AWGN channel. Two ICI cancellation schemes namely the Extended Kalman Filer (EKF) and the Maximum Likelihood (ML) estimation have been proposed and have been compared in term of Bit Error Rate (BER). EKF algorithm performs better then ML method and gives good results in term of BER.
