Abstract
Study the reaction of sodium hydroxide with silica from corn straw ash (CSA). The influences of concentration of sodium hydroxide solution, the ratio of CSA mass to sodium hydroxide solution volume, reaction time, and reaction temperature for the dissolution rate of silica and the sodium silicate modulus are studied. At the same time, we find that the apparent activation energy of this reaction is 8.688KJ/mol by Arrhenius equation. The results show that the activation energy of this reaction is low, so this reaction can be in progress at lower temperatures.
