Abstract
In the era of Internet and rapid growth of social networking, influence on the decision making process may impact and vary from one individual to another. Blogs, Posts, tweets etc have changed the means of communication and made the web a more attractive source of communication for sharing views. With the passage of time and the growth in e-commerce, a new web world needs to be developed where users can share their views and opinions on different domains. Extraction of useful content from such opinion sources is a demanding task. This has made the focus of researchers in the field of opinion mining more and more prominent. The paper presents an extensive literature review and highlights the present methods available in the field of opinion mining.
