Abstract
Magnetic hyperthermia treatment (MHT) is a cancer therapy that relies on the heat generated by magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) under an alternating magnetic field (AMF), and it has the potential to realize a local treatment with fewer side effects. The purpose of this study was to investigate the usefulness of magnetic particle imaging (MPI) for monitoring the therapeutic effect of MHT using phantom and small animal experiments.
