Abstract
This paper proposes a solution for interference management in cellular networks. We focus on studying the guaranteed and average data rate performance of cellular networks by using a multi- level interference mapping technique. A novel method is proposed in which an interference intensity map, which indicates the level of interference between conflicting Base Stations (BSs) and users is constructed, based on the interference bounds of users. In addition, a power control algorithm is developed to maximize the reuse efficiency of the entire system based on the interference intensity map. For validation purposes, the performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated and compared with state-of-art techniques. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can provide an excellent overall performance in comparison with the other techniques.
