Abstract
Detection of cancer involves estimation of elasticity by measuring density and velocity. The velocity of the induced transient waves orthogonal to the ultrasound wave motion is used to calculate the stiffness of tissues in differentiating between malignant lesion and benign lesion using transient elastogram. For computing the velocity of transient wave propagation an ultrafast scanner is required to congregate the huge amount of data for interpretation. A novel algorithm is used which reduces the data sent to computing apparatus within handling range of the laptop. The Data from ultrafast scanner is transferred for processing through Ethernet interface. Signals from sensor channels are received in Field Programmable Gate Array databanks and changed into Packets. The layered Protocol model of User Datagram, Internet Protocol and Ethernet frame has the data and overheads bytes. The raw data can be analyzed using parallel receive beamforming, velocity calculations and image display using Graphical User Interface of laptop in remote places. Standard Ethernet interface in the machine allows data processing in laptop which decreases the overall cost and size of the hardware enabling the technique to be used for Tele-medical applications in remote places.
