Abstract
High speed permanent magnet (PM) motors have advantages of high efficiency, high power density, small size, and light weight [1], so they are being employed in applications such as compressors, centrifuges, and vacuum pumps, etc. Active magnetic bearings (AMBs) are considered to be an appropriate choice to support the high speed motor rotor [2] due to their benefits like no lubrication, no friction, active vibration control, and so on.
