Abstract
Recently, the properties of magnetic glass-coated microwires (GCWs) were investigated intensively in order to develop artificial structures known as metastructures with double-negative electric and magnetic properties in the microwave frequency range [1]. The metastructures based on specific GCWs exhibit a left-handed behavior with narrow microwave frequency band. This is a critical limiting factor for the practical applications of such metamaterials. The combination of different types of GCWs with similar high frequency properties could be an alternative to enlarge the metamaterial frequency domain of such metastructures [2].
