Abstract
The management of electrical power networks during peak load periods is a an issue of growing concern in the context of the transition to the smart grid. This paper presents an overview of solutions to deal with peak load constraints by implementing demand side management solutions. Demand response has been experimented on an office building site, in the GreenLys smart grid demonstration project. A case study of the experimental campaign, with associated results will be presented. Finally, concluding remarks on the benefits of demand response and future perspectives will be exposed.
