Abstract
Virtual Reality (VR) has an immense potential of application and requires, in addition to a specific area where knowledge is applied, an in-depth knowledge of the disciplines of Science and Computing. Due to human-computer interaction approach of reality in a three-dimensional space, this feature becomes quite relevant to health. The current situation of education and training in the area of health presents some imperfections and challenges that need to be overcame. Thus, this paper presents the advantages of VR applied in the simulation of medical procedures, and highlights the three-dimensional (3D) modeling of structures of breast in the study of methods for detection of breast lumps.
