Proposal of debate assistant system for improving the ability of externalization and response in conversation

Debate have two features. One is competitive, another is critical thinking. Competitiveness of debate can urge students to review and learn from past debate experience. And the necessary of refuting in debate will urge students to think critically on the opponent´s opinion. Both of the two features can help students to learn how to react on some condition, which is the ability of response. Also by making statement and refuting them can also learn how to organize their words, which is the ability of externalization. In this paper, we propose a debate assistant system as a web application. By making use of the features of debate, the system can let students benefit from the online practice.
