Abstract
The question of “How to heat our houses efficiently?” has always been a number one priority in terms of building services. This project shows a way that helps people save thermal energy with a little investment. It is called “beer-collector”, taking after the solar collector. It looks alike, but it has a few differences in the way it works. You can read about the differences and similarities, the process of the building from the idea to the implementation and also the measurements that needs to be carried out. The basic idea of this “beer-collector” is to help the heating system by reducing its working hours. This equipment can work really well during the autumn and spring, when the weather is mild. This project was carried out by the Student Association of Energy´s Project team. Our plans for the future with this appliance is to set up a lesson-ready version of the measurements we are planning to carry out, so the younger students can learn about this method of heating and that they can make their own measurements with it during classes.
