Abstract
In view of the challenging policy objectives of security of supply and economic efficiency within the liberalized background of the last decades, European electricity markets have developed different dispatch arrangements to coordinate power systems´ balancing operations, namely Central Dispatch or Self-Dispatch arrangements. This paper presents a model for the Integrated Scheduling Process of Central Dispatch systems in Europe, which addresses a robust dispatch scheduling, while respecting European prerequisites for market-based Balancing Services procurement. The proposed model is evaluated in terms of solvability using the Greek power system and the technical feasibility of the attained schedules is demonstrated.
