  • Abstract
Measurements of AC QHR steps using a transformer bridge with a four-port connection to a QHR device are reported. Guard surfaces are used with the aim of reducing the capacitive coupling of the QHR device to surrounding conductors. Results obtained by adjustment of the potential of one of the guard surfaces and by reversal of the magnetic field suggest that at least some of the features of AC QHR steps cannot be explained by capacitive coupling alone.
