Abstract
UV-irradiated Teflon FEP films, one side metallized and negatively corona charged, show peak shifts in their thermally stimulated discharge (TSD) curves as compared with those of unirradiated samples. They are practically discharged after the first TSD process, indicating that UV irradiation enables the contact to inject positive charge. Heat pulse records confirm positive injection from the UV irradiated contact. Positively charged films, UV irradiated, have a residual potential larger than the unirradiated ones and also show peak shifts in their TSD thermograms. Results for both polarities are shown for different metallic contacts
