Abstract
Studies of the temperature (0 to 20°C) and pressure (0 to 3 kbar) dependences of relaxation of initial permeability due to disaccommodatition in MnZn ferrite single crystals are described. Improved measurement precision helped to uncover deviations from the Richter approximation of the relaxation curve, and it was foound that the data more closely obeyed a Gaussian approximation, in which the curve slope is more gentle during the initial and final relaxation stages. The activation energies ¿0, ¿1 and ¿2 were determined as 0.88, 1.11 anid 0.62 eV, compatible with the assumption that the relaxation is due to positive ion diffusion.
