  • Abstract
    A successful 10-Gb/s bidirectional transmission experiment is demonstrated at the 1550-nm wavelength through 150 km of dispersion-shifted fiber. Long-term bit error rate performance (BER<10/sup -14/) is achieved in both transmission directions with a fully engineered system.<>
