Abstract
Transmission of electomagnetic waves through amorphous ribbons during ferromagnetic resonance is described. Such transmission, already observed in Fe78 Si10 B12 ribbons, is observed at one surface of the sample when ferromagnetic resonance is induced at the opposite surface. In experiments, ribbon samples were inserted between two resonant cavities tuned to the same frequency. Microwave transmission peaked at a field strength corresponding to that of the resonance absorption (600 Oe), and transmission peaks were also observed for Fe4.7 Co70.3 Si10 Bi15 amorphous alloy ribbons and Permalloy ribbons, but not for Ni foil. The transmission depends on the type of sample and the angle of the applied dc magnetic field.
