  • Abstract
The video oriented applications require considerably large amount of bandwidth. The bandwidth assigned to a video is very much dependent on its popularity. For popular videos, the bandwidth requirement is large. The popularity of a video is not static; it changes as the time passes. In that case, the bandwidth allocated to the video needs to be changed as it is a scarce resource, and at the same time, the user services should not get disrupted. In this paper, we propose seamless channel transition using the Bespoke scheme. During the transition, the old users do not get disrupted and the new users get same services as it was provided with the old channels. We have proposed an elegant technique for channel transition. Though this technique is used for the Bespoke scheme yet it can be adapted for any broadcasting scheme.
