Abstract
A format for consumer-use analog high-definition video cassette recorders (HD-VCRs) was developed. Studies made in determining the FM parameters and the recording patterns of color difference signals of this format are described. To achieve a high picture quality, the FM parameters of this format were optimized through studies of the SNR, waveform response, and moire. A recording pattern for the color difference signals, implementable using simple hardware, was determined through a study of crosstalk from adjacent tracks
