  • Abstract
An anomalous irreversible magnetization increase due to a change of stress after demagnetization, the demagnetization-stress effect, was measured in amorphous ribbons. This stress effect was only observed within a small stress and magnetization, whereas it was observed through wide ranges in Si-Fe. The demagnetization-stress effect is considered to appear in a specimen in which invariant 180° domain wall structure is kept with a change of stress after demagnetization
