  • Abstract
    Magnetic interaction in a [Co/Pd]n multilayered thin film for perpendicular magnetic recording medium was evaluated under the application of a tilted magnetic field using the ferromagnetic Hall effects analysis. The angle between the driving current and the in-plane projection of the applied magnetic field was adjusted to detect the contribution of the perpendicular and in-plane magnetization components simultaneously. Magnetic interaction along the perpendicular direction exhibited changes with the change of applied field direction, while that along the in-plane direction was found difficult to determine in the evaluation of ΔV plots, an evaluation index for magnetic interaction.
