Abstract
The author discusses some of the problems of maintaining medical equipment in the Punjab based on his own experience at the Christian Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiona. The main problems are caused by the dust and the incompatibility of the equipment and the climate. The unavailability of spare parts is also highlighted. The author suggests ways in which the maintenance of medical equipment in this area could be improved
