Abstract
Stress is one of the principal external factors affecting the magnetization of materials. A new and improved equation for modeling the magnetomechanical effect has been developed based on an extension of the previous law of approach equation to include terms that are analogous to those in the Rayleigh law. Accordingly, the previous theory of the magnetomechanical effect has been refined by including a new linear stress-dependent term in the original model equation.
