Abstract
Methods of calculating the integrated parameters, capacitance and force, in electrostatic fields by using boundary element analysis are discussed. Force is calculated using Maxwell stress. It is concluded that the integrated parameters can be obtained with very high accuracy by using the boundary element method, due to its highly accurate field solutions. Both capacitance and force can be calculated from integrations performed on the boundary or in the field space, and the integration on the boundary needs much less calculation work than the integration in the field space. For capacitance, boundary integration results are quite accurate, without the need for the space integration
