    F. Barbier et al. (2003) offered a formal definition for the semantics of the whole-part relationship in the Unified Modeling Language or UML. H.B.K. Tan et al. (2003) raised problems within some parts of the formalization. We discuss these problems and their remedies developed by H.B.K. Tan et al. (2003).
