  • Abstract
    A method based on dynamic programming was developed to design optimized post-type spacers for three-phase, sulfur hexa- fluoride gas insulated cables. This paper describes the optimization philosophy, its implementation to the design of experimental spacers, and the results of impulse voltage tests.
