Abstract
Simple models have been used to estimate characteristic height and intensity of tropospheric refractive turbulence from fluctuations of the field amplitude received by two antennas of diverse sizes on the OTS space-Earth path. Data refer to particular events of high scintillation, probably associated with the presence of nonprecipitating clouds, and yield elevated values of C n2
