  • Abstract
Frequency selective surface (FSS) using cascading substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity structure is investigated by finite difference frequency domain (FDFD) combined with the domain decomposition method (DDM). Equivalent circuit model and FDFD-DDM full wave simulations were applied for the design and optimization. Numerical results show that the selectivity performance of the FSS can be greatly improved with proper design and optimization, more rapid roll off side band can be reached as the number of cascading SIW cavities increasing. Its performance is still stable with different incidence angles and polarization
