Author\´s reply [to "Comments on \´Eigenstructure assignment in linear multivariable systems - A parametric solution\´" by M.M. Fahmy and J. O\´Reilly]

The authors reply that Klein is correct in his observation that the approaches to eigenstructure assignment in earlier articles by B. C. Moore (1976), G. Klein and Moore (1977) are equivalent to those of the authors. They assert, however, that their philosophies are quite different. These differences are then described.
