Abstract

For original comment see S.R. Rengarajan, ibid., vol.43, no.12, pp.240-1 (1995). For reply see D. Satyanarayana and A. Chakrabarty, ibid., vol.43, no.12, pp.241-2 (1995). The reply to our recent comments on the above paper has not addressed the main issue raised. D. Satyanarayana and A. Chakrabarty apparently do not understand the significance of the incompleteness of the eigenfunction expansions for the dyadic Green´s functions in the source region of waveguides, and the relationship between the source region singularity, and the ´TE₀₀ mode´. Satyanarayana and Chakabarty reply to these comments.
