  • Abstract
    This paper reports on an economic evaluation of the application of remote multiplexing systems (RMS) to essentially all of the instrumentation and control circuits for a nuclear power plant. The study was conducted by Bechtel Power Corporation in 1978. The estimated net savings vary over a wide range depending on a number of variable factors and estimating tolerances. Study procedures and findings are summarized.
