Abstract
Large-signal dynamic models for hysteretic current-programmed buck, boost, and buck-boost converters are proposed. The model is expressed by a single differential equation. The small-signal transfer functions of these three converters are also derived, based on the large-signal model. The analysis shows that under the hysteretic current-programmed control, the output voltage of the buck converter is independent of the supply voltage, and there is a right-halfplane (RHP) zero in the control-to-output transfer function of boost and buck-boost converters. An experimental prototype is breadboarded to verify the analysis
