Abstract
The experimental results obtained in high-T/sub c/ Josephson junctions are reviewed with the emphasis on intrinsic Josephson effect and long-range proximity effect junctions (LRPJ). The possibility of the experimental observation of the intrinsic Josephson effect is discussed. A theoretical model based on resonant tunneling via localized states is proposed for the description of normal and supercurrent flow in LRPJ.<>
