  • Abstract
    An empirical formula is proposed for predicting the subjective quality of television pictures degraded by two or more impairments simultaneously, given the quality grading for each impairment separately. The formula leads to a further proposal for transforming subjective-impairment magnitudes into summable impairment units termed `imps¿.
