Abstract
The thermal equivalent circuit of a core in a coincident current-storage plane depends only on the dimensions of the core and the wires. The circuit thermal impedances for a 0.050 in core are given. Temperature rises of different-sized cores of similar shape are compared, and thermal time constants are discussed.
