Singularity in the radiation resistance of a point electric dipole in a magnetoionic medium

A different method of derivation of the integral expression for the radiation resistance of a point electric dipole immersed in an unbounded magnetoionic medium is presented. This method, which is free from the criticisms that have been raised against the conventional method based on the power calcu lations through the use of Parseval´s theorem, yields for the radiation resistance an expression which is identical with that obtained by the conventional method and thus, in an indirect manner, confirms the correctness of the conventional method.
