Abstract
A method of abstracting the parameters of dissipative four-poles from measured data is presented here. This semi-precision method is applicable to symmetric four-poles and results directly in a conveniently symmetric network representation. It is based on the modified Wheeler representation, a new and completely general network, which is introduced in this paper. In addition to the derivation of the network and of the analysis, the relationship that the network bears to its dual, to the impedance Tee, and to the admittance Ri is presented.
