Abstract
A structure consisting of two parallel plates, ordinarily identified as a plane capacitor, is analyzed from the viewpoint of a distributed parameter system. The results presented are not intended to be innovative, but may prove to be helpful to electrical engineering students in the process of understanding the issues involved in the modeling of circuit components, especially when high frequency regimes are considered
