Adopt automation-but with some consideration

The second automated manufacturing conference was recently held amid a growing awareness that automation is the answer to eventual industrial survival. However, a crucial aspect of many speeches given during the two-day seminar was that the human aspect of such automation was being neglected; that is, without worker co-operation no advanced manufacturing strategy can hope to succeed.
