Abstract
Editor´s Note: In this section William F. McClelland describes the activities of the Applied Science Mathematical Committee on the 701. He lists the programs that were supplied to customers and gives a tracing program as an example. He also gives some 1951 ideas looking toward automatic programming. In his paper in the Architecture section of this issue, Rochester refers to programming, and we print here names of several programs he listed in October 1951.
