Proposed Nuclear and High Energy Physics Standard Tape Format for the Exchange of Data between Laboratories

The IEEE Computer Applications in Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Technical Committee (CANPS), the organizers of this conference, have prepared a proposed standard format for the exchange of magnetic tapes containing experimental data. We include the description of the proposed standard here to elicit response from the community of professionals most likely to be involved in implementing data tape formats.
