Abstract
In 1921, the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) selected Cummings C. Chesney as the recipient of the Edison Medal. He was cited for his contributions to early developments in alternating current transmission". He later served as president of the AIEE during 1926 and 1927. He was known for his pioneering work with high-voltage power transmission.
